Who we are, what we do
LifeSight meets the growing demand for flexible and modern pension plans. It is a unique proposition with smart and comprehensible communication and best in class execution. LifeSight is set up via an IORP (institution for occupational retirement provisions) with traditional organs such as the General Assembly, the Board of Directors and Other Operational Organs. We work with the best partners in the areas of administration, asset management and insurance to achieve optimum added value for the affiliates.

Els De Jaeger
President
Els is president of the board of directors of the IBP Towers Watson LifeSight OFP and responsible for LifeSight in Belgium. During her career with WTW, she has taken different roles in relation with the management of an IORP, such as head of pensions administration, head of communication, responsible for an actuarial team. Currently, apart from this role, she also takes up the role of the actuarial function and risk manager for a number of pension funds. She also provides advice regarding amongst others plan design, funding, financial reporting.
As background, she is a commercial engineer, qualified at the KU Leuven (Catholic University of Leuven) and holds a degree in actuarial sciences from the KU Leuven and from the Technische Universität of Vienna. She has a degree in Human Resources Management from the HUB.
Els is a qualified actuary of the Institute of Actuaries in Belgium (IA|BE).
Sven Schroven
Vice-President
Sven is vice president of the IBP Towers Watson LifeSight, OFP and president of the Investment Committee for the Separate Account DCMF. Sven has more than 27 years’ experience in benefits and investment consulting and through that time has advised many companies on the design and financing of their benefit programmes in Belgium. He is certifying actuary and risk manager for a number of Belgian pension funds. Sven provides investment advice including investment strategy, ALM and investment monitoring services. He is also involved in pan-European IORP projects in Belgium. Sven is Senior Director of the Consulting Services with WTW. He is a member of the management committee of our Zaventem operation.
Hans Ceulemans
Director
Hans Ceulemans is Director of the IBP Towers Watson LifeSight, OFP. Hans Ceulemans has a degree in commercial engineering and actuarial sciences, obtained from the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven).
He is a member of the Institute of Actuaries in Belgium (IA|BE). After his studies he started his career with DVV insurance as product manager of the branch 21 portfolio. He was responsible, amongst other things, for new product developments, the follow-up of the profitability and other actuarial aspects related to the insurance portfolio. Hans deals with ALM studies and various actuarial valuations within the framework of ASC715 and IAS19, M&A's and plan design. He advises on all aspects of pensions and supplementary employee benefits.
Edwin Meysmans
Independent Director
Edwin is since 2016 independent director of LifeSight. He studied law at the VUB and at the Michigan Law School. Edwin previously worked in the legal department and credit department of KBC Bank until 1997. After that and for many years, Edwin has been the managing director of KBC Pension Fund, the KBC Group Pension Fund, the second largest banking and insurance group in Belgium. Edwin was also very active within PensioPlus, the Belgian association of IORPs and had the role as vice president of PensioPlus. Currently, he has also other mandates in Board of Directors of IORP’s.
Georges Van Acker
Independent Director
Georges Van Acker is since 2018 Independent Director of LifeSight. Georges is a psychologist at the RUG. He then studied at the Vlekho portfolio management, and at the EHSAL marketing management and business administration. He also has a degree in pension legislation at the KUL. In the area of the 2nd pillar he was director and vice-chairman of the Belgian Pension Fund MSD. He was responsible for the daily management of the IORP. He was also responsible for ALM studies, the development of SAA strategy and the selection of asset managers. He also has
extensive experience in the pension plans design, including plan harmonization for workers and employees.

Sven Schroven

Geoffrey Vandepitte
Geoffrey is member of the Investment Committee for the Separate Account DCMF. Geoffrey has 14 years’ experience in benefits and investment consulting. He provides investment advice including investment strategy, ALM, risk budgeting and performance monitoring services. He is holder of the actuarial function and risk manager for a number of Belgian pension funds and also gained expertise in various issues of Employee Benefits, such as the actuarial administration of pension plans, actuarial valuations and reporting following the accounting standards IAS19 and ASC715. Geoffrey obtained a master’s degree in Commercial Engineering (2006) and in Actuarial Sciences (2008) and 2 additional degrees in Corporate Finance and Pension Law.

Sabrina Barbieaux
Sabrina Barbieaux is President of the Daily Management of LifeSight DCMF since 2018. She completed her master in mathematical sciences at UMONS (Université de Mons) and her master in actuarial sciences at the UCL (Université Catholique de Louvain). Sabrina is head of the WTW Belgian Pension Administration team. She is a qualified actuary of the Institute of Actuaries in Belgium (IA|BE). Sabrina’s domains of expertise include: Advising pension funds - Coordinate and lead actuarial valuations, accounting coordination according to international standards (IAS19 and USGAAP) – Involve in plan design, including implementation, employees communication and insurer selection - Acts as actuarial function - Client lead for a pan-European pension fund.
Sara Hofman
Sara Hofman is the Secretary of the Daily Management at LifeSight DCMF since 2018. She obtained her master’s degree in Mathematics (2007) and in Actuarial Sciences (2009) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
She is a qualified actuary of the Institute of Actuaries in Belgium (IA|BE) and acts as actuarial function for pension funds. After her studies, Sara worked as an actuary for Everaert Actuaries, where she was involved in Employee Benefits Services and consulting for life insurance companies. Sara has a good knowledge of the actuarial and regulatory aspects of the Belgian pension market.
She has built up an expertise in various issues of Employee Benefits, such as the actuarial administration of pension plans, actuarial valuations and reporting following the accounting standards IAS19 and ASC715.
